Ordered ayam geprek mozarella, chicken satay and ayam penyet to eat in. They were delicious and the price was quite inexpensive. If you like spicy foods, their sambal is nice too! I would love to try their nasi bakar next time.

That was the most authentic Indonesian food I ever taste in Melbourne. The fried rice not really my style, but the satay served with it was flavourful, have a nice fragrance, soft and juicy. The "ayam penyet" was excellent as well together with their chili paste.. yuumm.. We end up want to try more, so we get the "batagor" (which the favourite of the lady next to us) and nasi bakar (a recommended dish). Can't wait for dinner.

We decided to drive over 40 min from the other side of Melbourne to check out Rara's kitchen. Totally worth it. Authentic Indonesian food at very reasonable price. We had Mee kocok Bandung, crispy fried chicken with nasi uduk, nasi bakar with ayam jamur, and mee goreng. Very delicious food and friendly service from the host. Happy to recommend.

Don’t come here if you want Japanese or Chinese dumplings. Rara’s Kitchen (Dapoer de Rara) is an Indonesian restaurant specialising in authentic Sundanese (West Java) cuisines. Must try: Nasi bakar teri (perfectly cooked rice - not under or over cooked, good amount of salted fish/ teri), empal (the best empal I ever had!), sate maranggi (so tender & tasty! must’ve been marinated over night), ayam geprak (melt in the mouth & well-marinated), batagor & sayur asem. I didn’t get a chance to try their siomay Bandung yet, that means an excuse to have another visit to Rara’s Kitchen😊

Authentic Indonesian (Sundanese) cuisine. Love the batagor, ayam goreng kremes, ayam penyet, nasi bakar and iga penyet. The place is small, so try to avoid the rush hours to ensure you will get the seat.
