What an unexpected yet amazing find. Wouldn't have thought I'd enjoy Indonesian food but boy am I wrong. Enak means yummy in Indonesian and this restaurant lives up to the name. Staff were really friendly and wonderful. They attended to every customer promptly. When the food came out we could smell it all the way from the kitchen and you knew it was going to be amazing. Indeed, the food was mouth watering let good. So much so we have already made a schedule to come back. If you are in the city and want great Asian food give them a try. Your taste buds will thank you.

The food was too good my husband and I had to dine there for two nights in a row. Their portions are generous, the prices are affordable, and the food??? ๐คฏ๐คฏ๐คฏ *THE* best. Service was top-notch as well. Highly, highly recommend!

Itโs my first time giving 5 stars for food, service, and atmosphere โ they absolutely deserve it! My partner and I had lunch here yesterday and were genuinely surprised by the fine diningโlevel service. The waiter was incredibly attentive and welcoming. He asked if it was our first visit and even checked if the room temperature was comfortable. After our meal, he made sure we enjoyed everything โ the service was truly exceptional. The duck leg (a weekly special) was incredibly tender โ the meat literally fell off the bone and was packed with flavour. I loved every element of the dish, even the garnish was delicious. We also had the Iga Bakar, which was just as tasty and tender. However, the portion size was smaller than expected. Both dishes didnโt come with rice, so we ordered two bowls separately โ but they were only half full. If I had to make one criticism, it would be the portion sizes. We didnโt feel quite full after sharing two mains with rice. That said, the quality of the food and service made up for it. I canโt wait to come back and try more from the menu!

If I could give it 6 stars I would! Here's an absolutely delicious Indonesian restaurant that is cheap to boot!?! The food was superb, with the stand out dish being the duck, it was smashing. We had beef rendang, and the tahu isi entree, and all of they looked and tasted amazing. The lady who served us was so friendly, and it was really nice not to just scan a code and engage with someone who clearly cares about the food, and your experience. Will definitely be back, because the food, service and value here are outstanding.

This place is outstanding! The best Indonesian Ala Carte restaurant in Melbourne.. i love the satay and bbq spare rib. The place is nicely decorated with warm ambient but bright lighting, and located in the central of CBD. Staffs are superb nice and polite. Overall, great food! Thank you!!

The nasi goreng that I took was excellent, it reminded me of the many that I had years ago in Indonesia. Super recommended. The waiter was very kind and welcoming, so shout out to him too PS that night the deejay must have fallen asleep (or really homesick) since there was the song Home by Bublรจ in a loop

Really love the authentic Indonesian food, and the portion is worth the money. The atmosphere is also great. Will be back for sure next time I visit the area.

Spotlight on an authentic Indonesian restaurant that packs a punch of flavor! Plus, the prices are greatโmost dishes cost less than $20 Here, they serve Indonesian cuisine with authentic, vibrant flavors. Itโs anything but boringโbold, intense flavors at a great price. My favorite dish has to be the Grilled Beef Ribs. The meat is perfectly tender and juicy, with an irresistibly tasty sauce. The steak, served with an assortment of sauces, is equally outstanding. Honestly, these sauces make every dish taste amazing. This Indonesian restaurant is located right across from QV Mall. Youโll find it on Lonsdale Street ๐

I recently visited Enak by Nelayan, a modern Indonesian restaurant by the renowned Nelayan Group, located right across from QV on Lonsdale St in Melbourne CBD. The warm atmosphere and stylish interior made it a great spot for a relaxed yet unique dining experience. I tried the Grilled Barramundi, which was perfectly cooked with a subtle smoky flavour, and the Iga Bakarโgrilled beef ribs that were rich, tender, and packed with flavour. The Nasi Bakar with Rendang was another highlight, featuring fragrant banana leaf-wrapped rice served with melt-in-your-mouth rendang. And of course, I couldnโt skip the Sate Ayamโsix skewers of juicy, marinated chicken with a deliciously nutty peanut sauce. This place brings together some of Indonesiaโs most iconic dishes, and you can really taste the effort that goes into every dish. The staff were super friendly, happy to guide me through the menu and explain the flavours, making it easy for anyone to enjoy, even if theyโre new to Indonesian cuisine. If youโre keen to try authentic Indonesian food with a modern touch, Enak by Nelayan is definitely worth checking out!

Came here for a friend's birthday who eats Halal. Place had a really wide variety of dishes. We had a picky 3 year old toddler with us as well and he enjoyed it too. Favourites: The tofu stuffed with veggies, Tumeric chicken soup was delicious Satay chicken was really good too And the beef ribs were slow cooked and very tender The one dish I wasn't a fan of was the nasi fried rice with fried chicken. We got the drink specials: pandan and coconut, and the Thai milk tea with cream cheese But they were both much too sweet, more appropriate for dessert. But overall was really pleased with the quality and price!

Found this place from google and turns out very close from my hotel. The food, the staff all โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ. The oxtail was so tender, the meat easily come off the bone and its not very spicy!!! Very much to my liking. The es teler was also good and creamy! Definitely will come here everytime I come to Melbourne

Overall: itโs super good! The staff are so nice. Tonight is Yuhan (sorry if I spelled wrong) and a woman, they are so friendly and solve the problems properly. Food: The food is so delicious, and the portion is big. The grilled ribs and chicken are soft, easy to eat. Service: Although we had waited for a bit long time for the food, Yuhan gave us drinks and discount. The way staff deal with the problems are appropriate and friendly. We are satisfied and happy to spend time here.

Having been there before, I loved it then and I love it now. The new menu is great and I was again impressed by their modern take on traditional Indonesian food with top marks for presentation as always. My favourites had to be the balado sauce whether it be on top of the fried oxtail or the ayam goreng (chicken) and the nasi goreng kamping (fried rice with lamb) with its Middle Eastern influence. The prawns in jimbaran spices also gets an honourable mention for flavour and size. A little disappointed I missed out on the tom yum special for being so special, it was sold out, but I will be back to try it soon. I love that Enak is completely a la carte (whereas their sister restaurant is based on nasi campur) and everything is great for solo eating and/or sharing. Service is always with a smile and they are in prime location near QV/Melbourne Central with plenty of paid carparks surrounding them as well as being easily accessible by PTV. I have confirmed that they are also halal even though they don't make it a well known fact.

Visited enak by nelayan from the google review and i honestly said this is Best indonesian food in Melbourne. They serve authentic indonesian food with best plating. The taste was amazing, service also beyond expectation. Believe me, you will have best experiences in this restaurant. Their sop buntut bakar, bebek madura bumbu hitam, satay & nasi goreng kecombarang are the best. Will come back soon to melbourne for this restaurant. ๐๐

Lunch @ENAKByNelayan. I asked the waitstaff what dishes were recommended and chose several of them. Gado - Gado: Mixed steamed vegetables, tofu, & tempe, served with delicate peanut sauce & bitternut crackers Who doesn't love satay? Delicious sauce, soft veggies, crispy texture from the prawn crackers, protein from the tofu and tempe, really yum dish. Ayam Bakar Enak: grilled chicken marinated and served with rice and sambal chilli. The chicken is coated in a delicious glaze which I love and is served with steamed rice and sambal for extra kick. Nasi Goreng Enak/Kecombrang: Aromatic wok-fried rice, served with fried chicken, egg, chicken, crackers & pickles Can't go past fried chicken but it's the fried rice which makes this dish and is so flavoursome. Fried Oxtail Belado The oxtail is tender, I really like the deep marmite like flavour to contrast against the rich oxtail. Salmon Lodeh: Pan Fried Salmon with vegetables curry Succulent chunk of salmon, immersed in the creamy coconut curry with Indonesian spices and plain rice, this was a delicious seafood dish. Sate Ayam: Grilled chicken skewers with peanut sauce and pickles on the side. Satay skewers, can't miss out on a favourite, delicious coconut cream satay sauce, upon well cooked chicken. Thoroughly enjoyed this. Fried/grilled Barramundi: fish served with sambal chilli. Whole barramundi deep fried in Jimbarran sauce. This dish is awesome. Tender fish that has been deep-fried so the spots where the bones are thin enough turn into crispy edible bones. The flavour of the Jimbarran sauce is superb. Definitely a crowd pleaser. Calamari done in a sweet and sour like sauce but with a spicy kick. I quite liked the flavours but would prefer less sweetness in the dish which detracted from the overall flavour and tender calamari. Lamb Skewers The lamb skewers are bit overcooked but nicely prepared in a deep soy sauce like flavour, a bit caramelised. Pretty good. Awesome meal, my work colleagues loved it. #IndonesianFood #gadogado #ayambakar #nasigoreng #oxtail #salmonlodeh #sataychicken #friedbarramundi #calamari #lambskewers #lunch #Foodie #melbournefood #melbournecbd

Also very cheap only $15 for a rice bowl that comes with a meat option, a lot of rice and potatoโs Definitely recommend this place The drinks were amazing too!!
