This halal Indonesian restaurant offers a small but well-chosen menu of curries and other Indonesian dishes – and everything they serve is top quality. The food was a 10/10: rich in flavor, slightly spicy but perfectly balanced with other spices. The service was outstanding – the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The location is very central, which makes it easy to come back again and again. Prices are also very reasonable – around $21 for a full curry with rice and sides, which is filling and delicious. Perfect for anyone, and especially great for Muslim diners as everything is halal.

Had such a lovely time here - incredible vegan options and all the food was delicious! Everyone is so nice and put so much care into everything. I would come back just for the fried stuffed tofu and the avocado shake, they were delicious! The tofu rendang was also spicy and flavourful and also a standout. My favourite place on King st!

Me and my siblings came from uni to eat together and the food, atmosphere and service was amazing. The mango match and teh tariff drink were addictive and unique. Would definitely trek from uni just for that. But on top of that the food was soo flavourful and the portions were really good. I enjoyed both the rendang and the mi Goreng arang arang. The pandan pancakes were super warm and fluffy would definitely recommend.

Just found this gem in Newtown on King Street. Really delicious, fresh and authentic Indonesian food. The chicken wings were super crispy and tasty…beef rendang, stuffed tofu and eggplant were our favorite dishes. Friendly owners and super clean with so much pride you can see. Great little restaurant, we will be back again 🤩

Top notch, great authentic dishes, everything tasted fresh and flavourful (we tried gado gado and the packet 3 with curry chicken and beef rendang). The people working there are really professional and kind, I found the place also very clean, including the toilet. They also have a sink to wash your hands right next to the cash and a Tv area with cushion for kids. Will be back 🔙

The kids and I wanted to try something new today and had seen some great reviews for Indominute... it did not disappoint! We grabbed a couple of dishes to share and loved everything we ate! The owners where absolutely wonderful and clearly love their business. Already looking forward to the green pancakes we brought home for desert. We live a couple of hours away but will definitely go back again.

This is the best halal Indonesian restaurant in Sydney that I've been to. There is plenty of unique and tasty dishes on the menu. The atmosphere is also so welcoming and friendly. The food was so good that I'll just have to become a regular now. Wont regret it, highly recommend for everyone.

Amazing food! packet one was a deliciously great deal! I couldn’t help trying their chicken rendang pie, that was also a massive hit! Great staff, super friendly and also helped. Recommended to try!

Wow, this place is great! Have had a few dishes which have been delicious but the mum's indomie meal is exceptional. Where else can you get a nourishing and delicious noodle dish for $10.90!? Recommend highly. P.S. you can't go past the fried chicken or tofu entrees 😋😋

The best Indonesian food in the inner west !!! I’ve been here 4-5 times and everything I’ve ordered has been so delicious! I think my favourite is the rendang, whether it’s on beef, tofu or in a pie! Also their mums fried chicken is finger licking good!!! The service is so kind and friendly! The aesthetic and the branding of the place is soo cute! Their servings are generous, they have a sink for customers and they’re fully halal !!! I’m obsessed! The first 2 photos are of packet deal 1 and a pandan coconut pancake, which was the perfect light and tasty dessert to top off a hearty meal! And the second photo is the tofu rendang with a refreshing rose lychee icey drink!

Ordered their Bakso and their hot teh tarik— it came with noodles, tofu, and some fried bits that soaked up all the flavour. Gave me kecap manis and sambal on the side to add however much I’d like. Perfect for a cold Sydney arvo and the price it’s fair. If you’re into Indo street food and modern restaurant style, this is the go.

THIS RESTAURANT IS A MUST GO TO if you are looking for THE Indonesian authentic food. At first I was hesitant but when I immediately entered they welcomed me with open arms, the staff was extremely hospitable, kind and made me feel welcomed. If you have never tried Indonesian food this restaurant is a must go to. Best part is if you are a Muslim dont worry as the food is all halal and meat is hand slaughtered. I would definitely come again

Amazing food, and incredible service. Our family hails from Indonesia, and there aren't many Indonesian cuisine restaurants where we live in Brisbane. Right when you walk in the place has amazing atmosphere, with lots of typical Indonesian snacks and drinks on display and super friendly customer service. We ordered the Beef Rendang, Bakso Abang Abang and the Iga Bakar. The Rendang was amazing with big, tender pieces of beef and good portion size. The pork ribs were incredibly soft and flavourful, and fell right off the bone. And the bakso broth and meatballs had amazing flavour and texture. Everything was served super quickly, and every dish transported us straight back to Indonesia. The owners and chefs were incredibly friendly and happy to chat. If you want amazing Indonesian food made by incredibly friendly people for a good price, this is the only place we've found it. We would happily travel the ten hours for this food any day, cannot recommend it enough. Thanks guys

I had a fantastic dining experience at Indominute Newtown! The food was delicious, especially the gulai ayam, which was rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. The restaurant itself is clean and has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. Every dish we tried was tasty, and the staff was attentive and friendly. If you’re looking for authentic Indonesian cuisine in a neat and well-kept place, I highly recommend Indominute!

Excellent food and top-notch customer service! The young man at the front counter was incredibly helpful and patient while I decided what to order. His friendly attitude made the experience even better. If you're looking for a place with halal delicious food and staff who genuinely care, this spot is a must-visit. I had an amazing time dining at Indominute Newtown! The Kwetiau was a standout—so rich and perfectly spiced, it’s a must-try. The restaurant is cozy and has a relaxing vibe. One of the best Indonesian spots!! I got their nasi goreng and it was a really big portion, good value for the price. Atmosphere was nice and the staff were super helpful and hospitable. Will come back soon!!

Tasty food, friendly waiter and great bang for your buck. $62 for 3 mains, 1 entree and a drink with glass straw. Unlike the blaring K-pap uneasy listening horror at A LOT of other (not so) cheap and cheerful Asian restaurants, the music was pleasantly unobtrusive. Also enjoyed the silly animation movie screen amongst the otherwise Indo-themed curios and decor. We'll be back.

Had lunch at this Indonesian restaurant. They have quite many typical Indonesian dishes. Ordered the combo which was shown as Packet 1 in the menu. It had nasi, rendang, ayam goreng and sayur. I chose to have sambal egg also. All the dishes were flavourful, with good portion. Food was not very spicy. Also had iced coconut palm latte, which had a medley of flavours. Enjoyed the drink also. They have some snacks for sale at the counter. Didn't try those. They also have desserts and coffee, which I didn't try. The restaurant is tastefully decorated. Service is good. Food was served without any delay. A visit is recommended.

I felt right at home. The gulai was amazing and rich in flavour. I would highly recommend their avocado smoothie, which was paired with chocolate. While it may sound unorthodox, it was incredibly pleasing and unique. Thank you so much for the great service~
