Love the taste of the rendang. The best one so far. You just need $14.90 to buy 2 choices with fresh meal ready everyday. Which is a very good deal. You will always get free rendang soup and sambal for extra when you buy the meal. Good vibes good services I love to come here than their branch in the city. The best place for eating rendanggg 🔥🔥🔥

Just had the Nasi Padang. Was really yum and also filling. While spicy, not crazy spicy. Good value and nice outside chilled table options to add. Recommended.

Quality food and nostalgic taste! As an Indonesian I’d say Medan Ciak is one of the best Indonesian restaurants to get your fill of warm, yummy dishes to cure your homesickness. My all time favourite dish is the lontong sayur, but honestly everything else is great too with decent portion size. You can choose 2 or 3 dishes from the hot bar with rice and that’s pretty affordable for the amount of food you get :D

Went to Medan Ciak for dinner, and as an Indonesian.....this is something that really make me feel at home once I enter the restaurant. The music, the smiling staff and the food of course. I ordered the Ayam Kremes with rice, which was AMAZING. The sambal really give a kick, and the Indonesian music at the background gives an Indonesian feeling. Definitely will come again for the nasi padang next time.

Medan Ciak is an absolute gem for anyone craving real Indonesian flavours! The hot bar offers 3 awesome choices that showcase the bold and complex taste of Medan-style cuisine from Sumatra Barat. Each dish is packed with rich spices, deep flavours, and that signature kick that Medan food is known for. Warning : The taste is super authentic and bold — true to its roots in Medan. It's definitely a "you either love it or hate it" kind of experience. It's totally worth a visit and highly recommended.

We order Lontong sayur (sticky rice, beef, chicken, egg, veggies, peanut, potato crispy, coconut milk sauce) Beef rendang is effortless to cut, looks spicy but not spicy, and grilled fish is so huge you can eat 2 or 3 people, for drink we order es cendol, it's like jelly with coconut milk, not only food, the service very good and quick. Thank you

Came all the way to Mascot just to check out their new outlet, and of course, for their famous nasi padang 🤩 This place feels more spacious compared to the one in the CBD. I came around 3 p.m., so it wasn’t as busy, which was nice. The nasi padang was absolutely delicious, with so many different dishes packed into one plate. Honestly, I felt like the rice portion should be double to match all the sides! Some people might say Medan Ciak is overrated, but for me, their food truly is a delicacy.

Very indonesian!! The nasi padang taste is punchy, delicious, but not too spicy, all good. Must come here for Indonesian people, especially when you feel homesick in Sydney 😆

The best place to find authentic Indonesian Food in Sydney! If you are looking for indonesian food then this place is the answer. Variety of foods, drinks and the portion is generous! The place is clean, the staffs were friendly and helpful. Definitely will be back!

Just as good at their branch in the city only less packed in. Crowds still there… what would u expect with such delicious food on the menu. Take on the preselected grilled chicken or direct from the counter select dishes of your choice. Time to throw out the dieting plans…

Authentic and delicious Indonesian food served in a casual family-friendly setting. The vibrant flavors instantly transported us back to Bali. We much prefer this location over the city site, especially with Annabel Park playground right outside—perfect for the kids to enjoy after eating.

Best Indonesian restaurant in Sydney. One if our go to restaurant have the best medan food in town and they have weekly special! We came here or ordering at least once a week. Our top favs is Nasi Kapau, Lontong Sayur, Mie pangsit Medan. Today we came for the Mie Sop from weekly special. Friendly staff and amazing food!

Best Chinese (Medan) Indonesian food in the whole of Sydney. Served by the best owner too (Ci Lilis), when she decides to show up at work 🤣🤣🤣 I hope this review can influence her to reconsider accepting pre-order for delivery in Lidcombe area (can pick up from Wisdom Education Lidcombe) for people who lives away from CBD or Mascot area. I love going here after work for Nasi Padang! Food always flavourful and restaurant is clean. Fast and great service as always. They also provide free filter water. Best portion if you pick any 3 Choices + Rice $16.90 by cash (1.5% surcharge by card). There is also the option to Pick any 2 Choices + Rice for $13.90.

I had my dinner at Medan Ciak Indonesian Restaurant in Mascot, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. I ordered rice with eggs, three different side items, and a boiled egg — and every bite was absolutely heavenly. The flavors were rich and authentic, and the chili sauce added the perfect kick. You can really tell the dishes are prepared with traditional Indonesian recipes and a lot of love. It genuinely reminded me of home-style Indonesian cooking. The restaurant was neat and clean when I visited, which made for a pleasant and comfortable dining environment. It's clear that the staff take pride not just in the food, but also in maintaining a tidy and welcoming space. peared to be Indonesian, which really adds to the authenticity. Everyone was very friendly, professional, and well-mannered. I felt genuinely welcomed and taken care of.
