Love the food, and the lady gives out HUGE portions for a fraction of a price 🥹🩷. She sells a variety of options (including rendang and ayam goreng), the average plate price is $17. Theyre so friendly and kind, will definitely come back!

Have been here a few times and have always been impressed. The Padang food is authentic and tasty, and served in generous portions, so it’s always good value for money. The venue itself isn’t big and can get particularly full in peak times but definitely worth a visit if in the Bankstown area

Didn't know this little Padang restaurant exist for 1 year now. We just tried it tonight and wow wow. Surprised. Many hot bar Choices and many on the menu. 3 choice for $18. Well priced, with lots of dishes to choose. They were all yum. Friendly staffs and clean little restaurant. Eftpos available Very well a 5 stars.

Really tasty and authentic Indonesian food. The place is bright, clean, and has a nice vibe, great for catching up with friends or coming in a group. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving something flavourful and homey.

Got the nasi pandang with chicken curry, rendang, cassava leaf, bitter melon and tempe. I was very pleasantly surprised with the overall taste and quality of the food. Portion size was decent along with the pricing. Customer service was pretty decent also, nothing which stood out to me as bad or out of the ordinary. We particularly loved the curry, rendeng and the cassava leaves. The sambal was quite tasty also. The green pandan dessert we got was also quite delicious and moist. The palm sugar dessert was very very average.

Went to this restaurant today for lunch after seeing an instagram reels. It is definitely worth the 30 minutes drive from where I live, the beef rendang tastes so authentic and I had the opportunity to try the dendeng balado that was also flavourful and a fried chicken that was good. For me the spiciness of the sambal is on point - it wasn't too spicy and just perfect. I will be back to try more things. Update 5/2025 - Came back here and they had upgraded the place, it looks much better and cozier.

Me and my friends (group of 9) ordered different menu, all the foods came quickly and tasted delicious. The beef rendang is really authentic. All the hot bar foods look and taste fresh. Please continue to maintain the freshness and deliciousness of the food. We sure will be back. I am very happy that there is an authentic halal Indonesian cuisine just next door!

Coming from Port Macquarie, it’s hard to find food like this. Rumah Rempah brought back the familiar, comforting flavours I’ve been missing—truly feels like home! Definitely a spot I’ll revisit whenever I’m in Sydney! The best in my opinion 🤙🏼

Rumah Rempah offers delicious and authentic Indonesian food at an affordable price. I especially enjoyed the hot bar, which had around 10 menu options. While the cook to order menu is somewhat limited, this isn't a problem as long as they continue to specialize and maintain good quality. However, the portion sizes for the hot bar dishes are quite small, like the beef cuts, only one small piece, which could be given 2 as standard depending on the cut size. Another area that could use improvement is the service. It would be helpful to have someone regularly monitor the front counter instead of staying in the back kitchen. From outside, the restaurant often looks empty and unattended, which doesn't give a good impression for a new establishment. Overall, it's a good place to eat, but there's definitely room for improvement.

In 1 week i come 2 times ,,, i like the dendeng balado and rendang, and balado tofu and shrimp and also they have tempe mendoan, it just the tempe mendoan little lack of salt in my opinion, but over all good

The food was amazing. I tried the sate padang it was really nice, the sauce is really great and the beef also delicious. For the side dish i ordered martabak daging, can't complain about this dish (crunchy and yummy). Additionally, this place is super clean and the staff is friendly . Overall, it's a really nice restaurant.

Super delicious food. However disappointed not to be able to try all their displayed food. Will request the management to have a platter available where NON Indonesian customers can trial all their food without spending too much. I wanted to try a small portion of all their displayed food. Looked so delicious . However it would have costed way too much. Please please introduce a platter offering.

Amazing authentic Indonesian food! My friends and I (group of 12) had an amazing time eating the delicious food! My personal favourites were the Gado Gado, Martabak, fish cake, and the durian dessert 😋😋😋. Will definitely be coming back to eat more !

Defo our new go to for Padang food. Food: delicious, packed with spices, which lives up to its name 'rempah'. Price: reasonable, for the servings. Service: bain-marie style food, so it's quick. Ala carte, as per standard, have to wait a bit. Customer Service: was super nice, talkative and friendly. Seats: Plenty of seatings to accommodate groups. Atmostphere: Clean areas, free chilled tap water. Nice calm music in the background. Clean rest rooms. Parking: plenty of on street parking. We've dines there 2 weeks in a row. Have bought take outs, which until a few days later, food is still 😋 delish. Keep up the great work Rumah Rempah!
